Open Access Policy and Licenses
The journal adopts the open access definition proposed by DOAJ. Simbiosis Educativa is an academic journal where the copyright holder of a scholarly work grants usage rights to others using an open license. This allows for immediate free access to the work and permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.
- As of 2020, all articles and components of Simbiosis Educativa are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. Under this license, Authors retain copyright over their works, but allow any user to share, copy, redistribute, transmit, and adapt the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes without needing to provide additional permissions, as long as the original authorship of the work is appropriately credited, providing a link to the license, and indicating if changes were made.
- This license supports the mission of Simbiosis Educativa as an open-access journal. The license appears on all individual pages of the journal's articles and components.

This work is under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
Access to both the contents of the journal and to publish in it is free of charge for readers and authors.
Authors who publish in this journal accept the following terms:
- Authors will retain their copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication of their work, which will be simultaneously subject to the Creative Commons acknowledgment license that allows third parties to share the work as long as its author and its first publication in this journal are indicated. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a monograph), as long as the initial publication in this journal is acknowledged. Authors are allowed and encouraged to disseminate their work online:
- Before submission to the journal, authors can deposit the manuscript in pre-publication archives/repositories (preprint servers/repositories), including arXiv, bioRxiv, figshare, PeerJ Preprints, SSRN, among others, which can lead to interesting exchanges and increase citations of the published work (See The effect of open access).
- After submission, authors are recommended to deposit their article in their institutional repository, personal website, or scientific social network (such as Zenodo, ResearchGate o Academia.edu).
